SPEAKING ACTIVITY: ACT AS YOU WERE...

Hello teachers!

Speaking is the skill that I like the most to practice with my students. They are so shy, and they need our support to having confidence in themselves.

For this reason, I’ve prepared this activity that consists in 42 cars with moods or feelings. Our students must get one of it and improvise a sketch representing the mood they have got.

Hope you like it.

  1. Hi Lucía, I thought this was a very funny (and fun!) activity to use in the ESL classroom, I think the kids would get a real kick out of it! I will use it my classroom this week! Thanks for sharing.

  2. Hello Lucía, I had a look at your blog, and I specially like the writing andthis one, the speaking activitys. In my opinion in both activities your students need to read and think first (so understand the meaning)and then, in the speaking one, apart from speaking they need to act like they are "x" what I think is very dynamic, interactive and entertaining, and a very pedagogic way to work on their confidence, it could also be a way to share and work their fears..., it is a way to work on thei imaginatios, their "acting and improvising skills,", also a way to reflect on their emotions, share it and practice cobaculary in English, so I think you could use this activity for different pedagogical goals. Well done, I really liked it. Congratulations.

  3. Hello Lucía. I have checked your blog and I have found a lot of resources quite interesting, but this one caught my eye! I think it could be very useful for breaking the ice the first day of class and to catch up again with the language revising vocabulary. Thaks for sharing!
    Your classmate :)
